Podiatric Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the action of penetrating the skin with a needle.
It has been shown that acupuncture produces a therapeutic benefit and acts to improve localized healing, reduction of pain in the area where the needle is inserted and in the whole body.
The Western Formulary Method of acupuncture is used which does incorporate some of the traditional Chinese methods.
It is a very low risk procedure which can be used to treat:
- Arthritis in the foot, toes and ankle
- Plantar fasciitis/heel pain/spur
- Knee pain
- Shin splints
- Generalized muscle and joint pain in the foot and leg
- Nerve and neuroma pain
- Hot flushes
- Hay fever
- Sports injuries and recovery
- Muscle cramps
